The food is ok, the prices are good, but what will keep you coming back is the people! This is a prime example of how good service can make all the difference. This place is like a family, and when you visit you feel at home, that's just how amazing this place is.

Pretty good burgers, not super great nice laid back small town atmosphere, friendly help. Big parking lot across the street. I would go back

We went to the Broadway Bar on the recommendation that they had really great burgers. Turns out they're just regular burgers. BUT I'm really glad we checked the place out. The place is tiny, with a flat top grill built right in to the back bar. I haven't really seen that set-up before. The walls were covered in different stuff- including an impressive collection of back-lit winter country scenes, which I love. The music was unbearable, but I don't blame them. There was one girl working the internet juke box and she was 100% responsible. The bar tender was great- friendly and quick. All in all it was a great west side field trip!

The interior is like a TGI Friday's gone divey bad-ass! Do yourself a big favor and check this joint out around Halloween or the Christmas holidays. Trust me it's a riot! The trip to the bar can be painful, literally. Lots of people squeezing, poking, stroking, etc just to get their spot in front of the bartenders. Westsiders are naturally thirsty and need beer. I chose to order two drinks at a time to avoid multiple trips, me smart like that. Thankfully, there's a little more space away from the bar to socialize and drink. I enjoyed sitting in the back against the nautical themed wall - it was a perfect place to watch some crazy drunks up front and the wacky old crowd root for their beloved Fighting Irish. Oh yeah, it's a Notre Dame bar. The drinks are strong and affordable. I always pop in here and there. it's a great place to drink away your worries. And in today's world, that's not a bad thing.

We went here first time, and so pleasantly surprised. Staff so friendly, patrons mostly from neighborhood, and before long we wished we lived in their block. Food very good, prices extra reasonable, very good wait staff. Nothing more to be said. Go there!

i can't say enough great things about the family that owns and runs what I consider the best real bar in gr! the drinks are great, the burgers are great, and they have real bbq's on thursdays in the summer months. the decor is a must during any holiday if you enjoy an explosion of awesomeness in your eyes... a shotski is a must if you have a few friends or want to make new ones.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants now. This place has a very dive-bar atmosphere as it is tiny, family owned, and just very homey. I mean, even the grill is tiny- but who cares, the food still is great! I got a cheeseburger, onion rings, and a beer. The burger was juicy, meaty, and delicious- one of the best in town. The onion rings were decent, no complaints there. They have frosted mugs for their beer which is definitely a plus in my book. The atmosphere, as mentioned above, is fantastic- you really feel at home here. The service is incredible, they truly care about you, and your food. The food is well-priced. They have a limited menu, but I've heard every item is great. If you're a Notre Dame fan, then this place is for you as they have ND memorabilia all over the place. Definitively a must go, tip them well, they deserve it!

Went to an Unofficial Yelp Event (UYE) here to see all the Christmas decorations. Damn, they mean business here! I tried the mozzarella sticks and these deep fried apple bites with a caramel sauce. Both very good! Definitely get the apple bites when you go! Server was great, friendly, remembered our names and was diligent. Not overbearing but there when we needed her! FYI - Min $10 charge if you use your card. Will go here again for sure!

Decent "dive" bar right in the neighborhood. Burgers and beer, though a limited selection on tap: Perrin black and blue moon is all on the night I went. But seems like a decent locals bar on outskirts of downtown GR.

1996....that's how long I have lived here. I have never heard of The Broadway Bar. Yesterday I overheard a conversation regarding this place and I decided to go. You need to know I love "joints". You cant build a "joint"...it can only happen over time. This place is the real deal. To begin with, this is a family owned and run business. The big deal is the Broadway Burger which is about a pound of food dressed as you wish. The food is great...as a matter of fact, last night in honor of Polish Days they featured the best cheese and potato pirogies I have EVER had. When we left we got hugged by Cynthia the waitress! Just a matter of fact thank you for coming. We were officially now part of the Broadway family. It is a fabulous place where Halloween is the featured decor at the moment. Like pulled pork? They smoke it out back and only serve it from time to time. Last week they featured smoked chicken. You hear the expression "homemade" all the time. This is the definition of home made. If you like great burgers, and by the way the rest of the menu was just as tempting...and you love a great joint, this is by far the best I have found. If you want fancy don't go....if you want real and authentic history and love and food and ambiance....go there tonight. BTW it is very small...you may have to wait...trust me....you will be glad you did. Hope you get a hug too!

Hell of a hole in the wall. Check it out for shots, beers, and football. Notre Dame fans very welcome.

Because I so highly recommend this place to my friends during the holidays, a question I'm always asked is what is the food like. In short, the food is good; its comfort bar food. Think burgers, fries, and chicken fingers. But you are here the atmosphere afterall; food is secondary. Also, its a small place and extrmely busy especially on weekends, to the point where they take reservations. I would make a reservation if you want to come on the weekend or if you have a party larger than four people. Other than that, look for the christmas lights and the gigantic snowman on the roof and you are at the right place!
